I recently drew a holiday card for my family featuring cats. I AM RIDICULOUSLY OBSESSED WITH CATS. I hope my parents will pick up the hint. If they don't I might have to resort to the Chapel method... I WILL NOT SPOIL IT FOR ANY NEW READERS!!!!

oh and also everyone try the nyan cat website. It is absolutely pointless but HILARIOUS at the same time.
Ginny Weasley fan 12/15/11 reply

I have a pound dog. She is a mix of a black lab, whippit, and beagle (maybe a bit of others). she is the sweetest and loving dog i have ever known. my entire family is allergic to her, but cope and love her anyway. We picked her up a few minuets before she was about to be put down. Her name is Lucky. Why? She is lucky to be alive today. that is how she got her name. she's been with us for 12 years now and she's still going.
Dr. Taxil Necrobane 11/7/11 reply
Awww, what a sweet story! That's great that you rescued her from being put down. :)

I did exactly what chapel did for 2 years, but for a cat. What did i get? A biting demon in a cat suit.
Ginny Weasley fan 11/4/11 reply
Ohhhh dear...that must be tough.
Emma 11/4/11 reply
it is. thanks for the sympathy!
Ginny Weasley fan 11/4/11 reply
Happy to give it! I love having comment conversations with readers. :)

I felt the same way during middle school. It took a whole and throughly researched presentation to convince my parental units.

(Happily pets the head of her shelter dog, Zeeba)
Emilie 11/4/11 reply
Nice job convincing your parents! I want a shelter dog SO BADLY. Will have to wait until I have my own place...*sob*
Emma 11/4/11 reply
Then to my time machine with all due haste! Three requirements though.

1. An appreciation for millinery
2. An epic hat
and
3. A brilliant brain

(May some times need a sharpie for tally marks, the ability to count shadows, and shoes you can run in)
Emilie 11/4/11 reply
Best. Comment. EVER. (I'm actually currently trying to teach myself millinery basics, I have a collection of vintage hats, and I run barefoot, so there you go).
Emma 11/4/11 reply
Thank you very much!

Millinery is a tiny hobby of mine, though most of my skill is limited to a hot glue gun, paint, and supplies from the craft store.

As for the running, you probably have a better chance than I do as we avoid Daleks, Cybermen, and Weeping Angels (though we may not want to necessarily run from those) because I have a constant habit of wearing heeled boots. That's not to say I cannot run in them. I've even won tag and hide-and-go-seek multiple times in them, yet they do provide some trouble over alien terrain.
Emilie 11/4/11 reply
Then you have more skill than I do at wearing shoes with heels (I fall over within 20 seconds)! But I'm generally an abysmally slow runner over long distances, so you never know.
Emma 11/4/11 reply
wow, 20 seconds??!!!
Ginny Weasley fan 11/4/11 reply
Yep. I ended up being the only girl wearing flats at my 8th grade graduation, which made it even more obvious once we sat down that my feet didn't touch the floor.
Emma 11/4/11 reply
poor you!
Ginny Weasley fan 11/4/11 reply
Yeah...heels wouldn't even have helped in that department. I'm really short.
Emma 11/4/11 reply
you know that story you illustrated for "working for sparkle"? do what the girl did...or you could convince your older brother if you have one. :D :D :D jk

I've wanted a cat for years, though I expressed my want in a more... subtle style. (I now have a cat. Yayz!)
LS 8/6/11 reply
Lucky you! I wish I could have a cat, but no matter how hard I prod it's not going to happen.
Emma (admin) 10/16/11 reply

Emma, does your family know that some cats, like Himalayans, are hypoallergenic? That means that people with allergies MAY not have an allergic reaction to them.
Joel 8/4/11 reply
I did know that, but my dad still has an allergic reaction. I've tried...
Emma (admin) 10/16/11 reply

Check that off the list of things I was confeusd about.

Yep, Chapel's not exactly subtle, is she?
